Hi all,
I love this site and am on it every day but this is my first post.
Recently I made a claim on my loans from lloyds tab as I was told when I took them out that I had to have ppi from lloyds and was not allowed to purchase it anywhere else.
Stupidly I threw my paper work away but I sent in a letter stating my account number and that I beleive I was mis sold ppi.
I received a letter the other day saying
Thank you for contacting us about your complaint.i am sorry this situation has occurred and I appreciate you taking the time to bring it to our attention.
My understanding of your complaint is that you are concerned about the way that you were sold ppi on your lloyds tab loans.
We are now gathering information and documentation relevant to your complaint to help us assess it further. If you wish to provide us with further information please feel free to do so.
You may also wish to visit the financial ombudsman services website for further guiddance
Your complaint will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
Does this mean my complaint is being processed?.
Sorry just new to all this
Thanks

That is not a valid complaint reason. Lloyds retail their products from their own group of companies and have no remit to retail products of others. There is and never has been any requirement for them to tell you that you can purchase it elsewhere.Recently I made a claim on my loans from lloyds tab as I was told when I took them out that I had to have ppi from lloyds and was not allowed to purchase it anywhere else.My understanding of your complaint is that you are concerned about the way that you were sold ppi on your lloyds tab loans.
Luckily for you, Lloyds seem to be correctly looking at the the whole sale issue and not just your complaint reason. So, you may get lucky with another area showing a failure (with loans, that can often be single premium or below floor limit to auto pay out)Does this mean my complaint is being processed?.
yesI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
It might be helpful to fill out a FOS Consumer questionnaire and post it to Lloyds as they suggest. We are now gathering information and documentation relevant to your complaint to help us assess it further. If you wish to provide us with further information please feel free to do so.
