Hi, I booked some holiday accommodation last May 2011 for this Easter.One week before we are due to start the holiday the owner has informed me he has taken a booking on the same accommodation for 18 months and I can no longer go.Accommodation was paid in full.He has suggested alternative accomodation.Is he allowed to do…

I think it is worth asking for some money back. It may seem objectively comparable accommodation but he is clearly making good money from the long term rental which is why he is happy to kick you out, you could ask for an extra £100 maybe for extra travel costs etc
