Which MP3?

My friend is looking to buy a MP3 player for around the £80 mark, she quite wants a IPOD Nano, but isn't too sure whether to get one of the basic ones or get a normal MP3 player where she can get more for her money.
Any advice or anyone that has seen any good deals about at the moment it would be greatly appreciated.

If she doesn't mind pink!! then this is an excellent audio player, MP3, WMA etc. Both my daughters have one and they're excellent. Superb build quality and good sound. Music transfer from pc an absolute doddle. Even I can do it:D

There are 3Gb versions on ebay for around the £60 mark, exactly the same but obviously less hard disc space.

if you don't mind having a restriction of about 80 tracks, you can do no better than Martin's "tip of the week" which appeared in his newsletter 4/5 weeks ago. Plus you get free earphones. It is a Technica and it is from Tesco and they cost £4.96 and they still have a few left.

I would recommend the Sandisk e200 range, its excellent value and considered by most publications to be more superior than the Nano (feature-wise) and the best news is that its cheaper too.
