Car boot won't open
My wifes VW Fox car boot won't open, the key fob is kaput so it won't open or close the doors or boot when you press the key fob buttons. When she tries to open the boot manually with the key it won't open either,it's like it is slipping so when you turn the key and press the boot button it doesn't seem to grab and pushes right in.She tried wd40 with no luck, any ideas please. Can you also recommend a company that will repair the key fob so it locks and opens automatically in the West Yorks area without paying dealer prices.

Is the battery in the key fob flat? If not, it sounds like you need a new key fob, which will mean going to a VW dealer."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

The problem is, when the battery starts to go, some people can't resist pressing the button harder (same people who don't understand how a thermostat works). This then breaks the micro switch in the fob...... It's actually the number one cause of keyfob failure across all manufacturers.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
