EDF Energy vs other suppliers

Hi,

Obviously there is quite alot of price plans and changes out there and I'm just wondering what is the best for most people or who they are with?

I find that Uswitch can't always pick every single detail. Is it better to be on a bill with standing charge tariff or a non standing tariff.

Currently my standing charges with EDF are
Electric 21.12p for standing charge and 11.53p per unit.
Gas 21.49p for standing charge and 3.387p per unit

Can anyone else post their units and standing charge for a comparison?

Why do you say that? What detail would you like that you don't think you are getting?

The comparison website will answer that for you if you supply your annual usage. For average consumption there is no difference. For very low consumption a no standing charge tariff *may* be cheaper.

Comparison sites like uSwitch will give pretty good forecasts if you know your annual kWh usage for each utility.
It can be a minefield when it comes to looking at discounts offered etc., which is why it's better to let the comparison sites do the work for you.
It's a bit of a gamble whether you go for a fixed tariff or variable one, and largely comes down to personal choice - do you want to know what you'll be paying for the duration of the contract or are you happy to start out on lower rates and go with the flow as they change?

Any other supplier would be better then EDF, just stick your figures into a comparison website. Unit rates and standing charges don't give the full picture you need to figure in direct debit discounts and cancellation charges as well. To complicated to do by hand.
