in Credit cards
Hi,
I applied for a FD account a few weeks ago to get the free £25 and when I made the application they said that I could also have a credit card with a £7.5K limit, which I declined at the time.
Today I phoned up FD to activate the account (set up the security) and they asked if I wanted to apply for any other products. I asked if they would give me a credit card with a £12K limit and I was put through to CC application team. Thay approved my application with a £12K limit but said that they would need to see 3 months of account activity.
Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know what sort of activity they are looking for?
(btw, I don't plan on paying my salary into this account)

They are looking for your income/expenditure really. Most FD credit card customers (esp. those with big limits) have an account with FD. I don't have my wage paid into mine and they wanted to see three months bank statement from my main bank account before they would give me a card.
Maybe you could offer them three months bank statements from you main account instead?I'm married now! Yippee!0
