My Computer has developed a problem what happens is for example on ebay purchases i can buy an item but it goes to pay but when it asks me to confirm nothing displays so i do not know if i have confirmed or not no picture displays. I have tried to refresh but nothing happens and i cant continue. another example is ebay again when there is an item for sale with multiple pictures with different angles i cant get the other pictures to display. I am assuming it is something wrong with my Browser but i have not got a foggiest idea any help please if you have please share with me

It sounds to me like Internet Explorer is blocking scripts from running.
Try using a different browser eg Firefox, Chrome, Opera.

I use Avast on laptops with XP and 7 and don't have any problems.0 -
Try reseting your IE , either using Microsoft Fixit http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9646978 or

Could be anything which you will only sort out by a process of elimination.
However it's interesting that you are using Avast because I also started having various issues after updating to version 7 and if you search G**gle you will find that that there have been a number of problems reported with this latest version.
Since uninstalling Avast (regrettably, as I have been a big fan for several years) I've had no further problems and if I do decide on a re-install I will give it a few weeks until they have ironed out some of the apparent bugs.
Anyway try replacing it with another a/v to see if that helps and if not, well you can easily put it back on again.0 -
Thank you all for the advice you gave much appreciated. The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0
