Thought I might try my hand at starting a new thread every week. Hopefully others will join!
Seeing as spring is nearly here, sowing season has started and everyone is showing an interest in the garden again, I thought I would have a go at starting one on greenfingered Moneysaving.
So, what do you plan to do in the gardening this week?
My list is as follows:
Pot on tomato seedlings that have taken
Empty compost bin and add to veg borders
Sow next group of seeds.
Cut back bushes and shred to add to compost heap
Plant peas out under cloches.
Clear out potting area at the end of garden - I have lots of damaged seed trays and pots that need clearing out. Bag up some pots I have promised to a friend who has just got an allotment.
Dig out some greenhouse glass for a freecycler.
Freecycle anything that is preventing me getting to the back of the shed!

Wow, you're going to have a busy old week angela. I would love to get on with some weeding this week. The weeds seem to think it is spring already, but the ground is a bit wet yet. (Well that's my excuse and I intend to stick to it)
This week I'll probably just sow a few seeds, clean the decking
and get the weeds I can reach without stepping on the soil. A friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.0 -
This week:
1) Plant lavender seeds.
2) Agree with DH what colour fences will be (United Nations may be required here).
3) Buy veg seeds & some herbs
Looking forward to it.

Wow, you are going to be busy Angela!
I don't have so much planned.
I am going to keep an eye on the seedlings I already have going
Plant some more at the weekend of the ones I already have planted to make a wave (is 2 weeks long enough for a wave or should I leave it 3?)
Plant the seeds from the pepper I used the other day.
Try and clean up the patio
Ask if anyone has stepping stone type things on freecycle, my grass is being ruined with my constant trips to the shed!
Oh, and try and decide what kind of fence we want to replace our very knackered and falling down fences0 -

So is OH (he just doesn't know it yet
) I only get 1-2 weekends a month this time of year to the garden as we live in OH's house the rest of the time (more come the summer though) so its usually busy. Let's hope the weather stays dry though, otherwise I won't get much done than the potting on/seed sowing.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

This week: So far, I may have killed some of my tomato seedlings while trying to free them of their seed casings
The others are looking nice and healthy though (so I left them alone
)
At the weekend I'll be planting out my onions and garlic, and during the week I'll be planting my leek seeds (this is a bit late really, but I'm hoping they'll be OK) :cool:

Hi all,
I have already put my first early potatoes into the ground, but have covered them with cloches;
I`m potting on some tomatoes, starting off some peas this week and shall sow more sweet peas in toilet tube rolls filled with compost(prevents root damage when planting out);
oh, and there is the compost heap to be turned.
Just a few odd things to do, lol.
