Refund On Car Insurance

Help Needed ....
Bought a car from a well known garage .... was offered insurance with it which I accepted at cost of £ 457.00, depending on the penalties from the insurance company I was with at the time. Also accepted their finance which was through Barclaycard.
Telephoned them the following day to cancel the insurance as the current insurer was charging a penalty to cancel. They asked me to fax through a copy of my current car insurance for their file, which I did.
TWO years later !!!! and I have just realised that the £ 457.00 insurance was not amended on the credit agreement and I am still paying for it.
Can anyone advise me whether I could reclaim this plus interest, obviously as it is being paid over 5 years together with my car ?

As You Called Them And Also Sent Them Proof I Reckon U'l Be Fine - Chances Are They Wont Be Able To Locate The Proof Or Say They Have Lost It. You May Also Be Told That You Should Have Noticed This On Your Documents Earlier.
I Recommend You Get Proof Again That You Have Had Alternative Insurance For The Past However Long And Then Send It To The Companies CuStomer Service Dept Telling Them You Called And Sent Proof Before.
Hopefully They Will Honour This For You.
