Best Online Bank Account?

Options
Good Afternoon money savers. I have just been diving through the myriad of online bank accounts and prepaid master cards and I can't seem to find the best one.

Does anyone know the best online bank account out there at the moment that doesn't charge silly amounts to have? Thank you.

Your question is too vague. As it is, you're going to get 12 different opinions. Why not state what you want from the account?
that doesn't charge silly amounts to have?
I have 13 current accounts. None of them charge me anything to hold, let alone anything "silly".

Each of us have different requirements. For example, I have accounts with five different banks. None of them charge, if I remain in credit.

As YorkshireBoy says, only you can decide what you want from the account. Why do you want a prepaid master card?

It's not that people are being unhelpful, but you have asked a very vague question without a straightforward answer. There is no one best account, they all cater for people with different needs.

I can't think offhand of any bank accounts nowadays that don't have an online aspect to them. Most prepaid cards have fees associated with them. (It's how they operate). You'd need to decide which services you would use and cost them appropriately.

Whatever you go for, make a note to review the account in a few months, once you can identify the services you are using regularly. You'll then be in a better position to search for better options.

You could probably help get a more specific answer by describing what you want the account to do and how you intend to use it.

Most banks offer a current account that can be offered online. Many building societieis too.

So tell us the answers to the following questions ....

    1) How much a month will be deposited in to the account (e.g. wages)?

    2) Who do you have a savings account or current account with at the moment?

    3) Why do you specify online? Do you have a problem with branches?

    4) What credit issues, if any, do you have (e.g. missed payments, default, CCJ) and when?

    5) What specific facilities do you want?

    6) Are there any places that you don't want to do business with?

    7) How old are you?

    8) Are you likely to go overdrawn?
