Halifax - separate or combined settlement

Hi, I applied over the telephone to Halifax about the miselling of ppi on 2 credit cards and 1 loan, as advised by them I received a letter about ten days later saying they would investigate and notify me of outcome. Fast forward three weeks until today, I came home from work to a cheque from Halifax but it only had one credit card agreement number on it. Does anyone know if that means either only one claim was successful or wether they settle them separately? And if any are unsuccessful do they write and let you know that?
Thanks

It is possible they have done them separately, the only way you will know is to ring them and ask.

It's unusual to get a cheque with no explanation. Usually you have to sign an acceptance of the redress before any cheque is issued. You'll probably find the letter will arrive shortly and it will detail which account(s) are being upheld.

This is exactly what happened to me! I claimed for 1 credit card (several previous card numbers but all linked) and a loan. A cheque came through the door with very little explanation. Now at 7 weeks i've had the paper work through for it all with the break down and a settlement letter for my loan! All seemed a bit round the wrong way but I was able to use online banking and see what had happened wiht my cc account.
  • I had the same with IF (Halifax), sent them FoS questionaire. Got a letter stating they were gathering information. Few weeks later got a letter statign they were offering £805. Opened the next letter and it was a cheque for the same amount on the same day lol
    Defaultless as of 12th Sept 2012 :)
Listen here default Dave why don't you take your bullsh*t and stick it up your defaulted ar*e and then stick your defaulted credit report and stick it in your defaulted gob.
