The stalks will die back - when they're brown and shrivelled pull (not cut) them away from the base of the plant, and chuck them on your compost heap. That's all you need to do.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I planted my rhubarb next to my piles-of-rotting-wood-mushroom bed. It seemed like a great set-up - the 'shrooms would get the shade & the rhubarb would get nutrients washed out of the wood...
I seem to have mushroom-loving foxes and they all got gobbled. :mad:
But the rhubarb looks happy!0
