ford mondeo engine

hi all am wondering if anyone can help me does a ford mondeo engine mark 3 have to be coded into cars ecu. we had to get a new engine put in to CAR when the engines been fitted there no faults what so ever comming up the cars wanting to start but just will not kick in all the diesel pressure is there and all the injectors are working any help would be greatfully appreciated

Google brings up that the MK3 mondeo requires injectors to be "coded" when replaced.

diagnostic machines clear no fault its a garage thats put the engine in and there baffled that it will not start

injectors have been coded in

have they actually confirmed that injectors are injecting
or just read no fault codes present
this engine would run without coding the injectors but would run a bit rough

What year is the car?

There are 2 different flywheels, The timing lugs are different sizes.

Happened a few times, People fitted new clutches and flywheels and it wont start after because the timing signal is wrong.

Injectors air locked?

I know how frustrating this can be , when we got our Mondeo the dealer had to send it to the Ford main dealer for the coding on the injectors to be clarified , mind you when done it`s been a dream to drive :):)
