Front or rear baby bike seat?
Options
Hello
After having found a cheap second hand bike, i need to buy a baby seat for our toddler (about 26lbs) but i dont know whether a front one , or a rear one would be better????
I think i'd prefer a front one, but there would be occasions when i would be on without the baby and i dont want to look daft, can they come off easily?
Also where would i buy a little helmet?
Many thanks - Jenna x

To be honest i would not even take a baby out on a bike !
Not questioning your abilities as a bike rider just the appaling way some drivers treat cyclists these days ):A Bast**d I May Be ! I Was Born One !

Oh, we live in a small village in the middle of nowhere, I would try to keep to paths by the river and on the Hadrians Wall, as much as possible as I wouldnt feel confident on the road, just as i would feel a bit slow and insuperior! i wasnt planning on cycling through the city with Bubs on!
Its my daughter's birthday and we have replaced her bike this year and i feel as if i cant keep up with her walking with the pram no longer, but i dont want her to feel as if she cant go as far as she like. I thought baby on the bike would be best for everyone.0 -
I've always used the rear seats with my daughter, mine lasts up to age six.

We regularly go 20 or 30 miles with it.
It locks and it's easily removable also. It needs to mount onto a sturday rack on the back of your bike.
If you want to buy a helmet, go to your local bike shop for fitting. Personally, we go without, much more comfortable for all concerned.0
