Defective PC bought from ebay - can I get a refund?

Have you installed any software or updates since getting the PC? (If it's not exactly as received then seller may argue you have changed the configuration leading to BSOD. Very much depends on the fault code(s) of the BSODs though).0

@bod1467 yes, I have....well, the pc wouldn't be much use to me otherwise...but I'm not sure where that leaves me legally... out of curiosity if nothing else.
Thanks everybody else for pointing at Paypal, that's probably my best bet. Unless having installed software changes everything. (I will of course uninstall everything and get the pc in as close state as it was originally, it won't be perfect because I've also uninstalled a couple of applications that came with the pc, but at least I can try...)0 -
i think the seller should be allowed to inspect it at least before a refund is made
lets be honest here its a s/h piece of equipment and as rightly pointed out buyer might have caused the problem by uploading or in their words removing programmes0
