And your point is? All ADSL broadband requires a BT-based line.
The PO is the only company currently offering line rental contracts less than 12m.
The point being that reading the websites it must be a BT SUPPLIED line thus you have to pay for a 12 month line contract in order to get broadband for a few months. You can't takeup the PO offer and get broadband from someone else. You could get BB from the PO but they require a 12 month contract for BB.

'Supplied by' does not mean you have to pay line rental to BT. It means a line on the BT network, i.e. not an LLU line.
You can pay line rental to a BT reseller such as Plusnet or Primus and take your broadband from another ISP.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Ignore all this. This poster is just misleading.

You can have the PO free installation offer and go elsewhere for your BB.

And you don't have to go to BT to get your phoneline in order to then get your BB from plusnet etc.

Best phone deal is PO at the moment with free installation til 31/03 but other companies ie IDNet,Zen,Adsl24,Vivaciti also do phone contracts and/or broadband on a monthly basis.
  • be also have a phone and broadband package!. £27.00 per month on basic. and line activation is much less than BT's.
