Cheque for ICEsave

I normally transfer money to my ICEsave account by direct debit; however I have a cheque I'd like to pay into it directly, but there's no guidance as to how I go about doing this. Has anyone any experience of sending them a cheque, since I don't want to send it to their Freepost address and risk losing it in the system.

They don't tell you how to do it because you can't do it.4a) You may make an initial deposit only into a new account by electronic
funds transfer, personal cheque, bankers draft or building society
cheque. For security reasons, you should make any cheque payable
to your name(s) and application or account number. Electronic
transfer of funds must be made from your nominated personal UK
bank account. Cash or other forms of deposit are not acceptable.
Thereafter, all funding of your account is by Direct Debit.0 -

How do I pay money into my account?
The account will primarily be operated online and additional cheque deposits by post will not normally be accepted.0
