You can try and get KSC "transport" tickets for the August flight. This is the BEST view you can get, IIRC onsale after the current flight goes. Viewing from a bridge actualy in KSC.

    http://www.thespaceshop.com/ (KSC's shop).

    Just search for "tickets"

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll keep that bookmarked.:T

Looks like it's probably going to be delayed until April :(.

we were actually at cape canaveral waiting to get put on the bus to go to the launch site when it was cancelled in 2002 when there was problem with the fuel.

when you buy tickets you are taking a bit of a risk. the tickets are valid for the launch not the date, but if you are only there two weeks.....

we did see the launch...from EPCOT! still impressive.

Yup. Thats a lot of damaged. Still it saves the OP the difficuly decision on if to go or not. They can't go again until Soyez is undocked sometime at the end of April.
  • There might be some small consolation...

If you're in Florida on March 9 there is an Atlas 5 rocket launch scheduled

Granted it's considerably smaller and more mundane than a Space Shuttle but how often do you see something blast into space in England?! Also it's a nightlaunch so should be a sight to behold.

I got a £180 flight to Orlando lastminute so i'll be there!
