Does anyone know if there are any CTF accounts which offer something like mothercare vouchers etc? Planning on opening an account to get the freebie and the moving the voucher to a higher interest account later on..

Boots give £20 of vouchers according to the leaflet I just got in the free Huggies change bag today. I don't know how easy these are to move etc but it's worth getting one that pays more in the long run rather than going for a freebie up front. If you would go for that plan anyway then it's great but especially if you're going to add anything to the CTF you need to invest it based on something other than initial gifts.0

Natwest provide a booklet vouchers when you open a CTF with them. They give you a second set of vouchers if you set up a direct debit as well.

The vouchers are things that involve spending money eg: £5 off when you spend £20 at Adams and discounts on entrance costs (Legoland etc.)
The CTF are easy to transfer. Providers aren't allowed to penalise people for moving accounts either. The only difficulty might be if the new provider isn't too familiar with the transfer process.0 -

Just had an email about this Child Trust Fund scheme from the Nectar point loyalty card. It seems very innovative. (I don't know how financially savvy it would be.)

Basically, you can top up the Child Trust Fund with Nectar points! Very novel idea.
You also get 1000 bonus Nectar points when you open the account and another 1000 if you start a direct debit. Something a bit different anyway!
