If your current modem has an ethernet port then you could use this.
The simpler option would be to replace your modem with a wireless ADSL router. These basically connect to your phone line and then distribute the internet to your computers or laptop.
As you have already bought the above then you should beable to connect the two up to acheive the same result.0 -
Hi, just noticed you said you had an ADSL (do you have a BT phone line?) modem at the mo.
This looks like a DSL (i.e.cable,NTL, blueyonder etc) router. I'm open to correction, but I'm pretty sure the 2 are not compatible. Let us know how you get on.0 -

If your ADSL modem has an ethernet port on it to connect to the PC it should work OK. If you cna return the router it would be simpler to just replace your modem with an ADSL Router/Modem though. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
just to let you know router came today took a bit of a while making it go wireless(wired was fine) and everythings working fine
just a poor reception now (living in an old house with thick walls)
