    What was the key thing?

Actually it was bonkers in there. I was there earlier and people were grabbing everything like no mans land. I could see people buying duplicates of the furniture, actually quite a few and I could only see them selling it (why would one person need so many of one unusual piece of furniture?). It's sad because people like me genuinely went there to get what we need, not something that we don't need, so unfortunately sold out, but other furniture was still available.

I also think the stock quantity was quite low. Not really good.

  • I got there about 10.45, I was told most things sold out within the first 15 mins, the SA said it was crazy in there. I mananged to get a work lamp, napkins, candle and a few plants all for 21p. (Thank you OP)
When you walked in you should have been given a balloon which had a tag on it with a code, there were 21 locks placed around the store, if your code opened a lock you won a prize, think top prize was £100 gift voucher. Didn't see anybody win anything.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Went there straight after school run. Just happened I had booked the day off as had to use my leave up before April.

Got there about 9:15 and was a queue already formed.

It was crazy in there. A woman tried to pull something out of my hand which I already had in my hand - she had to let go :p. Even saw 4 security men running through the store at one point - wouldnt be surprised if some scuffling broke out.

Managed to get a few of the 21p items including plants, stools, baskets, the storage organisers and hanging organisers and lamps. My mum managed to bag one of the £21 bedroom cabinets although she did want the smaller one but it was gone by the time we got there! Needless to say some people took about 4 or 5 of each of these - obviously to sell on and there was hardly any stock out to begin with!

I would steer clear tomorrow to be honest as I am sure it will be worse and the stock went today in a matter of minutes but they probably kept some back for Saturday. If you do go - good luck!:rotfl:

I went around 7pm and there was hardly anything!! I really wanted a dining table :( Got some notepads, napkins and candle holders for 21p and thats about it. Went with Mom to get specific items so at least wasn't a wasted journey.

Staff said there will me more stuff tomorrow, but I'm only small and don't know the quickest way around the store lol so I doubt I'd get anything.

Thank you OP, we went at around 10:30 and most stuff had gone, there were people trying their key combinations on the cupboards, the store wasnt as busy as I'd imagined but staff said it was madness earlier on and most stuff had gone. Didnt get anything what I went for other than usual non offer things. There were loads of 21p brown fur 65cm cushion covers and 21p tealight holders, some 21p wall spotlights, Poang covers for £21. Only good bargain was lovely ficus for £2.99 offer and Buxus for the same price, I bought loads but there were stands full left!

I got there at about 9.40am and joined the queue for the marketplace (had my 2 year old in a pushchair with me- would have been easier without a pushchair but couldn't leave her at home :) )

Was a mad rush and most stuff was gone within the first half an hour- well the baskets were gone in about 5 mins!

Got 4 baskets, 2 hanging storage and 2 mini conifers for just under £2 ;)

I also saw the security guards rushing off somewhere in the furniture section for a fight :/

There were people with trolleys full- not sure how they would get away with lots of the same thing as there were limits to how many each person could buy.

The staff reckoned it would be terrible today.

I actually don't think it was as bad today compared to yesterday. Was one of the first people there. Yesterday we had to wait near the escalator so no one could get anything (not even the baskets) then as soon as they let us go through people grabbed anything they could but today since the boxes were on the right people went calmly.

Also the furniture grabbing wasn't bad either. Yesterday people were claiming as if they owned all the pieces (should let others have the chance to get some too tbh instead of having more than 2 of the same item) but today it was in turns, and although it all went within a few minutes I didn't think it was bad. They did make an announcement today of one or two per customer though so it helped.

DO you think they have saved some stock for tomorrow too? I really wanted the bedside tables and drawers ;)
I didn't realise the codes were on the balloons, I was by myself and would have felt silly picking a balloon up without knowing.
The last time I went to Ikea the were still doing the refit so its completely different now and I got a bit lost, can you go straight through to the checkouts? Was that where the furniture was? I got a lamp from there and they had loads of the bathroom cabinets left

They probably won't have the 3 drawer as there were none today from the start.
You can't go straight to the checkout, they will make you go round. We were actually directed a different way yesterday compared to today so got lost but managed to somehow get there.
