When our store turned 21 they took 21% off everything which was fantastic for us as we had just bought a house and managed to buy a kitchen, bathroom sinks/cabinets, bedside tables, wardrobes and chest of drawers, we saved a fortune!

That was when Ikea turned 21, it was in every store. I went with my mom and friend, mom bought loads with 21% off, me and friend ate 21 hotdogs, ice creams and donuts between us lol.

But anyway, that was when Ikea turned 21, and so was at every store (back in 2008ish I think). This is because that specific store is 21. I went yesterday but it wasn't very well advertised, I only know because I looked online before I went, so if you have an ikea near you, may be worth looking into when it opened, may be deals for you very soon

1953 was when the first Ikea opened, so surely their 21st would be in 1974?

IKEA arrived in the UK in 1987 so was 21 in the UK in 2008.

[And IKEA was founded by Ingvar Kamprad in 1943 - and, yes, 1953 was when their first furniture showroom opened.]
