I'm hoping to get seats for newcastle, does anyone know from last time whether it will be all seated?

Yes it was. Oh and another tip....make an account today on ticketmaster (this will include your card details). So that tomorrow, when you log on and get tickets you don't need to enter any information and it all goes a lot quicker.

Hi Im just passing on some advice to anyone desperate to purchase TT tickets at any cost. I am an avid fan and have been for years, in response to the people asking the best way to get tickets for their concerts my answer is there isnt any. I was lucky enough to come by a ticket for last years fab concert in Newcastle but only after a lot of time, frustration and annoyance. I have noticed people explaining which sites to go and which numbers to phone, they will all find to their frustration all of these methods totally useless as I did last year. You manage to get through to the ticket site only to discover you are going to have to wait 30 mins then it goes up to 50 mins then 1hr when you would expect the time to reduce. Then the site totally crashed, the phones were a waste of time as they just rang and rang and rang (you get the picture). If you are made of money and like lining the pockets of the ticket touts, they are allready selling pre sale tickets at excess of £300 per ticket for a front block seat yes you heard that right £300! Just to make another thing totally clear you CAN NOT get pre sale tickets by becoming a member of the fan club, I have been a member for ages and they do not allow pre sale tickets. The only fan clubs which allow this are clubs that you pay a yearly subscription for the priviledge of getting pre sale tickets. So the outcome of this is by all means try the phones and the web but when you get sick of this just pray that you may pick up a bargain on EBay which I was lucky enough to do I got a ticket for £10 and had an amazing night. The only other alternative is take your tent and sleeping bag out tonight and get in the queue!!! See u at the concert.:j

well, if this defeatist post is anything to go by we might as well all just stay home and hum the hits to ourselves....

yes, the 1st day of sale can be difficult but there are plenty of ways around things without having to resort to buying high priced tickets off ebay,

1, the forum idea i suggested for one, i know for a fact that there will be plenty of face value tickets available that way. keep your eye out from now all the way up to the tour... people have to drop out for different reasons all the time.

2, there will almost definitely be extra dates announced at the big venues when the first few sell out, keep checking the websites.

3, also, ticket promoters do not release all the tickets at once, they hold a certain amount back and trickle them out nearer to the event, some of the ones i saw last year had been reserved for competitions etc and not needed so were released to the public and they were right at the front, closer seats than the people who bought theirs in the first days sale.
(for example.... i spent most of last year gutted that i couldnt afford to buy robbie tix when they went on sale and that i wouldnt get to go, until they released some more in the middle of the year and i got inner circle, in the special roped off bit right at the front)

4, if you absolutely have to resort to buying off ebay, do not look for them now, or just before the tour starts, do it in the middle months when the interest is not so high and they will be considerably cheaper.

5, if you are going to go for it tommorow morning, phone the ticket hotline at about 8.50, yeah it might ring for a while but THOUSANDS of people get through....

    good luck :D

...so have a look at that

For last year's tour I went and queued at the ticketmaster (or whatever it's called) office in Cardiff. Got there about 6.30am i think and were only a couple of people waiting- this was december, remember! By the time the office opened there were about 40 or so people waiting. The office opened around 15 mins early as they wanted to get through some of the people in the queue outside before the phone lines opened. So it might be worth checking out if the ticket agencies actually have premises near you and go first thing. It means you're guaranteed to beat the people on the phone.

    Good luck!

PS. If you do end up with no tickets, check scarletmist and gumtree in the couple of weeks leading up to the concert, people who for whatever reason can't go often put tickets on there. In the case of scarlet mist they're always at face value.

If you go onto your ticketmaster account there should be a section (in 'my account' maybe) where you can enter your card details.

There are quite a few of these threads on MSE about the TT tickets.

The limit at the NEC is 6 tickets and that is for all dates at that venue NOT PER SHOW. This will stop the greedy people who try to go to every concert and stop a lot of poor people getting tickets for even one show.

They are also saying on the website that queueing outside will NOT give you any priority over phone and website bookers.

My husband has done alot of research into the websites and the tickets are not available at 08:50 or any second before 9am and this is what makes the sites crash when everyone is hammering them before they are available.

I tried last year on every phoneline and website and was still not lucky. I waited a while and got reasonably priced ones on ebay. My advice is not to panic buy on ebay as the touts will be making their expected profit. As I said, I know someone who got £2.75 tickets on ebay a day before one of the 2006 gigs! If we all stick together on this, hopefully it will make things better.

    Good luck tomorrow everyone!!xx

    QUOTE]

Sorry that is not true. Last year tickets for take that were available at 8:55 on ticketmaster (give or take a minute). I should know, I got a confirmation e-mail before 9am. Also, last year the entire front block at the newcastle arena was ONLY available to those who had queued at the venue....most of whom had done so for amny hours.

Read the NEC website - It clearly says it does not give you priority just because you have queued.
