Council Parking Ticket

Hi all,

A little advice would be very much appreciated.

Anyone know how far a council could take a parking contravention for a parking ticket that was simply upside down?

I can prove that I had in fact paid and the council have acknowledged as much. However, they are threatening court action and have rejected 2 appeals on the basis of the upside down ticket.

I'm hoping that, the fact payment has since been proved, they will have no power in court (and all I'm receiving is threats).

However, is this the case?

Court action? Are you sure it's a Council ticket not a fake private one?

That's not what happens unless you've missed an appeal deadline and got to Charge Certificate and Order for Recovery stage (very late stage).

Adjudication (not Court) is the process with Council PCNs - as long as you met all the appeal deadlines.

What you need to do is post all your letters in pics, on a new thread on pepipoo:

They will help you unless you have left it too late & got to a very late stage without replying. They can get most people off most Council PCNs.

Is this a Council PCN, which Council?

Well I was on a hospital car park.

The correspondence is from Notts Parking Partnership.

They have said it will go to an adjudicator as the next step but have also stated that the debt (if unpaid in 14 days) will be registered with the Traffic Enforcement Centre at the County Court to recover the charge.

ps - for some reason they say I owe £50 now ???

Bassetlaw Council - so post on pepipoo with pics of these 'letters' as it sounds like these have been 'notices' which all needed a reply/appeal if you were to get your day in front of an adjudicator.

If YOU still have the parking label, you will win at adjudication level .
Just hope you have not sent it to the council....
