Buying From USA. Beware.

I recently bought an Omega watch for £751 from the USA site. It took 3 weeks to arrive and clear customs. They sent it by USPS Priority, when it arrived I got a letter from Parcelforce asking for the Vat on the watch and their handling charge which was £13.50 + vat, totaling £139. I was prepared for this but was hoping it might sneak through.
It was still about half the retail price in the UK so I cant complain.
But just beware to allow for these extra charges.
