I am looking for a little advice to pass onto my boyfriend. He has had roughly 6-8 credits cards/loans over the past 8/9 years.

He is sure the PPI existed on some of these however he is unsure which. Now he cannot find paperwork for the vast majority of the credit cards/loans and is now thinking of simply going to a PPI reclaiming firm as he thinks its too much hassle !

Ive never had PPI etc so I'm unsure of what to advise I've read the guide however on the letters you have to state your account numbers etc what happens if you simply dont know them ?

Thanks in advance and as always I'll "thank" any helpful replies :D

If he knows the banks that he had these with it may be worth ringing them and asking if they can find him, if they cannot then he needs to send a Sar to each bank and ask for all info they hold on him, they may not have this info due to the year but it is worth a try, he needs to give as much info as he can for the Sar, addresses dob etc.

    Now to a claims co..........
Your Boyfriend will have to find this info out for the claims co before they can do a claim on his behalf, your Boyfriend will pay the same £10 Sar fee for each bank and if he gets what he needs the claims co will get him to fill the complaint questionnaire in and they will post this to the bank.

Both those scenarios have to be done by your Boyfriend, the difference between the two is that the company will take a % of any redress he may get plus Vat, which scenario would he choose?.

All info on here is free, if you need any more help, just ask, the fee for our help is 0% and no Vat.
