Any doctors out there? Medical question (re disability benefits)

Hi guys. Very many thanks for all the advice given. I wasn't even aware it was terminal. Jeez what a shock. I don't think I shall be seeing her for another coupkle of weeks, but I intend to print off this thread and show her as I think there is so much useful advice and information. I feel a little awkward about asking if she's aware it is a terminal condition, as I'm not really sure it's my place to. I'm sure she must have done some research herself into the subject and perhaps didn't want to mention it to me. I'm sure her and her husband must have spoken at length about it. Anyway, I will print this thread off when I'm next due to see her, and urge her to take onboard all the kind words of advice. Many thanks to you all.

My daughter has problems with breathing and she gets breathless going up stairs and running around like the other kids. She only has 50% lung capacity of a normal child. She does get DLA full rate. She now takes inhaled steroids which lessens her breathing problem but it will be a case of increasing the steroids as she gets older. We`ve tried swimming again but she still doesn`t have enough "puff" even with the steroids.

If your friend tries to claim DLA again, assuming she hasn`t done, then if she fills out the form thoroughly she should be able to get it.
