Second Hand Laptop - Advice Please

Hello, I am a new user and am looking for a little advice please. I have been offered a laptop ASUSX53S, with 4GB memory, T5450 CPU, 320Gb disk, ATI HD2400 graphics. It has a fresh install of Vista Home Premium, along with all updates, a recovery CD, and 4 DVDs containing an acronis back up of the system as freshly installed and updated(as of 20th march). The peron selling it has also installed Avira, Acronis True Image, Firefox,True Crypt, Libre Office, Malawarebyte,HJT, Gimp,VLC, Recuva, Speccy, Defraggler, IMG Burn and Hostsman(???). He has also cleaned the fan and case/keyboard, and has allowed me to use it for an hour too. The real question is, he is asking £75 for it, which to me seems fair, so could I presume of you to give your thoughts.
Many thanks for reading (my wife said to ask on here - so she shall be obeyed)

I'd snap his hand off at £75. The hard drive and memory alone are worth that.0

Well he is an acquaintance , and he used to work in IT , and he sold another friend of ours a Tower system that was fairly well specced too in its time, and that is still going strong. He is semi-retired and spends a lot of time helping people out with their computer problems usually for a beer or three. I better not offend him by offering any more, but will suggest a few beers on top. Thanks for the input guys0

Oh and I forgot to add he did say it was nearly 4 years old , and it has served him well until he got a newer one , as far as I could tell the battery is still holding a fair charge too about 1.5 hours use (light)0

a above, snatch his hand off (and lubricate his throat with several  )......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
