Can i claim, old PPI

back in the 90's i worked for barclays bank and had a staff loan with them ( with PPI. They then made me redundant and i found a temporary position for a few months then became unemployed. I couldnt pay the monthly loan payments so seeked help through the PPI. they refused to pay out as i had sort work. Bascially if i was unemployed straight from being redundant they would have helped. As i had started my career over i was on poor wages and the loan eventually went to CCJ. im still paying it off now after all the charges were put on the loan rocketed to over £10K. Do i have a claim here or will it be null and void as it went to CCJ. thanks for any advise.

I think the time to complain (to the Banking Ombudsman as it then would have been) was in the 1990s when you found you could not claim - not a decade and a half later, I think.0
