Hostelworld.com

Is it just me or is anyone else having a problem viewing https://www.hostelworld.com properly?

I'm just getting the headings in list form with no photos.

Thanks

not just cheaper but more reliable. I will never forget till the day i die the time there was 3 of us after camp for a few nights in New York that we'd booked it 3 weeks before getting there, and got there about 4pm so not that late) saying they knew they had a booking for us but they had overbooked, in peak August bank holiday season so the only places left were really really expensive. It was just pure luck that we were going for lunch with people from camp or we'd have had to stay either in the airport or book one of the expensive hotels. Never never again will I book through them, and i've travelled quite a lot in many places, hostelbookers have never let me down (knowing my luck next time i travel they will, but have never had a problem with them to date)

I must have stayed in 30+ hostels across the world from booking on hostelworld.com and I have never ever had a problem.

Neither have I although I do use other sites as well.
  • This thread just popped up in my hostel alerts and thought I could offer some insight:
As a hostel owner, it is our responsibility to honour ALL bookings made on both Hostelbookers and Hostelworld - it's in the agreement when signing up. dawyldthing you can't blame Hostelworld for what happened to you as that was completely the hostels fault for overbooking - you were the unlucky group that got bumped and it would have happened to you no matter what website you booked on. If you contacted Hostelworld at the time and they did nothing - then I'd hate them, but if the hostel refused your booking, than they are entitled to find you alternate accommodation at their expense! That's the safety net for travellers pre-booking online, third-party repercussions!
Back to the original post - Bob the Saver, maybe you need to upgrade your browser to the latest version?
And for the cheapest price for hostels just use hostelzoo.com to compare all the hostel booking sites, just like you would normally compare airfares, holidays, hotels etc.
