So fed up with Talk Talk ringing me!!!!
I have been with them for years and reasonably happy with their broadband and phone package.
BUT recently getting several calls a day from them to upgrade or get a mobile, so yesterday I told them that if they phoned again I would cancel my contract just had my second call today!!!!
So I am going to cancel but who to go to now????
Thinking of Sky and will go for TV as well to get F1 but what are they like?

Stupid in my opinion.0 -
Logon to your MyAccount area and confirm that you have a big red X against each marketing option. If you do, raise a post on the TT forum to request they stop calling you.

We are in the same boat. With talk talk and happy but don't what a new contract just want to carry on as we are. Get these annoying calls and I work nights so sleep some days so never give out our home phone number. I'll get it checked out that we have said no to marketing online. But these calls do make us almost wish we had never had anything to do with them and as they are our phone provider then they have our number.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

and they have never phoned up to sell me anything.
I've had the odd call to technical support over the years and you speak to someone who speaks English (albeit with a Yorkshire dialect perhaps) and they know what they are talking about.
Some others have had less positive experiences but I've been very happy with them for some years.0 -
I got Sky when they were offering broadband at £5 a month, The problem with Sky is you keep adding to your package, ie movies and sports, then you end up paying a lot per month and still just watch BBC/ITV
There broadband is great up here in Accrington, I get around 10 meg0 -
Well I just checked and I do have two big red Xs against marketing options and no I will not pay to be disconnected as I have been with them for years.0

I like talktalk, got a letter saying I was 47GB over my limit. I thought oh **** how much will that cost. But there is no charge for going over
The reason was because I just got lovefilm and watched the entire 6 seasons of lost on the xbox haha.0 -

Don't be so sure. They will quite possibly have treated one of the many marketing calls as a renewal of your contract, tying you in for another 12 or 18 months, without them actually telling you that's what they were doing. Won't take much inspiration to guess how I know ...0 -
TalkTalk are renowned for their aggressive sales pitch. They think that by bullying you enough, you will sign up to a new service.
This explains why when they had their kit installed in my local exchange, they ran a door-to-door campaign and failed to sign a single customer.Never Knowingly Understood.
