Travelodge Booking Advice

I've booked a travelodge room for 3 nights at the flexi rate of £50 but now see that the first night is coming up at the saver rate of £26 and an extra night at the end of the booking is too. Could I amend my current booking to the two nights and book the saver rate for the first night and the fourth night as seperate bookings? If I do this will we have to change rooms during our stay, ie. check in and out for each seperate booking? Thanks in advance.

Pam

I think the best thing to do is give them a tinkle and ask - and hear it from the horses mouth so to speak.
  • I think you could cancel your original booking (assuming you've not paid anything upfront and justl left a credit card number) and make another booking.

Just stayed in a Travelodge for Friday and Saturday - Friday was a cheap Saver rate and Sat the normal Flexible rate. We didn't need to move rooms - just went to "check in" again first thing on the Sat morning (when we paid for the flexible room).

Yes I would just tell them on check in you are in for a total of 4 nights but at different rates and don't want to change room. I work for a Hotel and it makes life easier if you speak up on checkin, just in case your specific room has been allocated later in your stay !

Some people always request the same room numbers.

We've done something similar before - booked at full rate for 2 nights, seen the price drop to 2 different rates for each night at saver and supersaver rates, cancelled the full rate rooms, re-booked the saver room for one night and supersaver room for the other night and just corssed fingers that we would not be asked to move rooms for the second night. When we arrived, we showed the 2 bookings and they found a room free for both nights and put us in it.

It might even be worth holding out a little longer to see if the room prices drop again....

PS I must congratulate Travelodge Customer Service today. Last Friday evening, I accidently booked a supersaver room for Croydon Central for the night AFTER our intended stay. I re-booked another supersave room for the night we really need to stay, sent a begging email to Travelodge, and just over a week later, they have agreed to refund me the wrongly booked room, even though it was my fault for clicking on the wrong day then not looking at the booking before confirm and that room was a non refundable room being at a supersaver rate. So well done for showing some good Customer Service and empathy with me.:T :T
