Barclaycard debt

in Credit cards
Have taken a huge drop in income which I'm trying to recover through the courts and am existing on basic state pension. House is on the market with plenty of equity.
I was receiving automated calls from BC daily none today so far. The problem is they only give choices as how to pay.
Obviously I can't pay at present, but I've received pension today.
Should I ring that number and pay £20 off each card?

Given you can't make minimum payments on either, you should contact them to see if you can set up an arrangement and what that should be - either on one card or both. See what they suggest.
But 20k is going to take a long time to clear, so you need to think of a long term strategy, whether this is selling the house or other items, or a new income stream. But it doesn't look like you will avoid defaulting at present.0 -
Have you been in touch at all with them yet to inform them of your situation? The drop in your income?
If not I would write to them to explain and yes its best to pay at least a token payment each month.

Thankyou both. Yes they know the situation and left me alone for 30 days, but the court procedure is slow.
I will take your advice tomorrow.0
