They will also reduce the number of Chelsea Tractors driving for miles to get the little dears to a school across town that had slightly better OFSTED results than the local school. It might even help highstreet stores in towns and villages as folk decided it's cheaper to shop local than to travel to out of town superstores.
I don't see too much of a problem with high fuel prices TBH.
You seem to have forgotten about people travelling to work.
Its now more expensive to get to work........Happy days eh:rotfl:0 -

Not for me, I use the train and have an annual season ticket. For other people, they will have to weigh up whether the journey to work is worth it. If not they can get a different job, buy a house closer to work or use public transport.
How do you get to your office job, Jimmy's puppet master?0 -

Oh, that's OK then. Discussion terminated.
Do like how because you use the train you won't be effected by increased travel costs though

I cant take a chopsaw, transformer, nail gun, ladders, etc on the train.
I need to use a van for work or i would have no way of transporting materials or waste
I have different jobs all the time, i could be working anywhere in the north west so i wouldnt base a house purchase on where im working.
Roofline tomorrow so should be a good day if the weather holds:).0 -
20 pence a litre in the middle east. for that you get someone fill the car up for you and wipe your windscreen, you don't even have to leave your car to pay

the cheap fuel means people do leave their range rovers running when they go to the supermarket (to leave the air con on, no crime here)0 -
Those that can will be turning more towards motorbikes and scooters - more fuel efficient, no congestion charge and usually free parking.

This where all that extra diesel will come from, currently the UK is lean on diesel refining.
Whether it'll be any cheaper i doubt it,sadly though its probably the start of shipping 'finished' product in instead of crude to refine.
