Overnight In London?

Where to stay?
I could get a cheap room at the Novotel excel curtesy of last minute but am not sure if that is too far from all the tourist places. We are going for two days so don't want to waste time commuting. The kids are 9 and 10 yrs old.TIA

You dont say when you are going. We always use Travelodge but to be fair usually on a sale as they can have 2 adults and 2 children. Kings cross /euston/covent garden are all ok. If you pay an adult breakfast which is dear you get a child free but it is a buffet so you can stock up for the day.

Hi we are going the 1st week Easter. The hotel is really cheap due to it being a top secret hotel offer. As long as it is ok for the commute to the palace and such we will be ok. Any way of getting the 2 for 1 on attractions as will be getting a coach not train there?
    TIA

Novotel excel is by the exhibition centre?

How much are you paying for it ? You will need to use the docklands railway to Tower hill , then tube it to where you want to go
So yes it is commutable, but it would have to be really cheap to make up for it in my opinion

Well for a family of 4 £65 I couldn't resist lol. I think my dh is more excited about the hotel stay. I am hoping the daily travel card will be sufficient.
