I have a storefist investment absolute con and lies I know have a company called united claims management suggesting I claim against them and funny enough they share the same address directors as the company that suggested them and gave financial advise in the first place !

Sounds like you don't need us to give you any bargepole-related advice on this one.

Was this a pension transfer? If so:
Who advised you to make the transfer, and how?
Were they regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority?
What scheme/provider did you transfer it from, and when?
I am a Technical Analyst at a third-party pension administration company. My job is to interpret rules and legislation and provide technical guidance, but I am not a lawyer or a qualified advisor of any kind and anything I say on these boards is my opinion only.
  • Was advised by a company called Jackson Francis / pension office
The pensions office were FSA regulated
Transferred from Scottish widows Nov 2012

Sounds like I had a lucky escape with this Scam then. It was Jackson Francis who "advised" me to Move/Invest my £55,000 pension pot into this Storefirst Scheme. There was an £7,000 transfer exit fee attached to my pension with Scottish Life.
So to make £4000 in the first year (after losing £7000) didn't make any sense to me Luckily!!
And it seems that Jackson Francis wasn't even regulated anyway!!

Complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service and get in touch with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme regarding your faulty advice from The Pensions Office, who are now in liquidation.

Scottish Widows are unlikely to be found at fault because at the time, the enhanced due diligence procedures that transferring schemes are expected to go through to prevent members falling for pension scams were not yet recommended by the Regulator.

You can appeal to the Pensions Ombudsman regarding the current treatment of your pension, but although he can find in your favour and order the scheme's provider/administrator/whatever to transfer your money in full to a legitimate scheme, those people are likely long gone and any such order can't really be enforced. The FSCS is the best chance of getting your money back. However, there's a good chance that you'll find that The Pensions Office stopped short of any actual regulated activity, leaving that to the dodgier firms who aren't covered under the FSCS.

    Best of luck.

O Yes I have! I am in the same boat as everyone else, I am going to speak to the ombudsman on Monday. Seems its a scam and not worth the paper its written on. I had my policy independently reviewed which has highlighted some serious flaws! Awful they can get away with it. What angers me is that Carey take their fees out of the policy each year and do nothing for it, when questioned they refer you to Store First! When in the T's and C's they should be doing the contacting. One question you all need to ask yourselves are you the sole owners of the pods are are multiple people like us owning the same pods??!! ....hmmmmm

this has been highlighted in other forums, no one knows who owns the pods. Good luck with the ombudsman

Hi anyone heard of store first investments. Any body heard about this company?

On their website they are still called STOREFIRST MANAGEMENT LTD, dissolved, now called STOREFIRST LIMITED.

The internet contains numerous adverse comments about this company, it also mentions that the Directors have got an history of previous failures, blue sky offers and financial disasters for the unwary investors. To rope you in they are offering an immediate 8% return, some see this as an offer to retain 92% of you're money, and its a fact that the storage pods they sell are terribly overpriced and unsellable when you want out. Their storage depots have an Oxford Street lane, a Regent Street lane, then the Sahara desert elsewhere in the building, you will be buying the desert (deserted) areas but shown Regent Street if you call in to view, needless to say the units price to build are @ £1000.00 each. You have no share, rights or control in the main building/s itself. My advice is to contact a Nigerian conman direct and cut out the UK middelmen, you might get a better deal, then again you might not, so leave this one well alone. On paper it looks good, in practice its has unsavoury has a time-share investment.

  • There are some concerns too. numerous investors contacted SSA UK confirming that their investment was not performing as expected in its second year with no options for reselling units
  • Hi all,

Just joined here to offer my own advice and experiences with regard to Storefirst Ltd........

I invested £97,000 five years ago, the returns are next to none existant......

I have asked Storefirst if I can join the "Guaranteed buy back, unique in the market place" .......This is not possible as this does not exist in reality either.......All that NOW exists is a STOREFIRST OPTION to buy back!......

I complained to the FOS about my FCA regulated SIPP trustees over a year ago now. The FOS has recently deliberated on my case. This damning report instructed my SIPP trustee to repay me the full value of my pension, this being circa £300,000....... This report from the FOS has forced my SIPP trustee into default two weeks ago.......

Thankfully my former SIPP trustees lodged my complaints to them to their PI insurers back in March 2015. The insurers have just told me that they will repay me the full value of my investments, this despite the £150,000 FOS limits.......

My FOS deliberations state that their attentions will now turn to any FCA regulated SIPP trustees who has investments with Storefirst Ltd.......

My own x5 year nightmare is nearly at an end, I advise anybody with investments into Storefirst Ltd to complain to the FOS ASAP......

    John....
