Change of Address During Mortgage Application?

We have just got a decision in principle with our lender. We are at our current address until the end of next week, after which we're crashing with relatives until our purchase goes through.

If we apply now, should we use the relatives address or our current address?

Would having a different address on the agreement in principle and the main application cause a problem?

Would applying under the address we're at now, whilst true at this moment in time, be fraudulent in any way?

All mail is to be redirected to the relatives address, the issue really is not wanting to cause any delays or get declined for any stupid technicality.

Anybody? Really not sure how this will work so would appreciate advice, especially from anyone in the trade or with experience of something similar.

Yes, we're still here for another week and can't imagine updating our address for things like that for the sake of 6 - 8 weeks. But I guess that sort of thing could get messy with credit checks? Or could it be classed as fraudulent in any way? We live there at the time of applying but not when the offer hopefully comes through.

We were advised not to change/ update our address until mortgage was out as it may mean we'll have to be credit checked again if we did which could scupper things. This was for BTL though. HTH

Thanks. Our mortgage broker said something similar, it just feels wrong somehow. Does changing addresses on car insurance update the credit records? Of all the things carrying addresses, I think that's the one we would have to change since invalid car insurance is a very risk idea.
