Tesco clubcard statement voucher - use at Asda?

Can you use the £2.50 vouchers sent to you by Tesco (which were the 250 points that you earned) at Asda?? Some1 told me u could use them as money off your Asda shopping. This would be great as you can convert them to deals online then spend the coupons again at asda!

Or is this just something I dreamt up as it seems to good to be true!:rotfl:

Apparently some Sainsbury's are accepting them, though not sure about ASDA. Either way, in anywhere other than Tesco they'll need to be entered manually as they don't have standard EAN13 barcodes starting 99 so won't be recognised by any of the tills.

Why don't you ALL read this statement which was put at the top of the original thread this week, and stick to it.

    Hi folks,

Just a reminder that Fraud is defined as 'obtaining money through deception'. Could we keep all discussions on a non-fraudulent basis; suggestions of re-using vouchers could be construed as breaching the terms & conditions of the companies involved.

Thanks, back to the original post...

In Halifax they didn't seem to know about it as has been mentioned here. No signs, no banners and CS said "money off coupons" can be used and knew nothing about accepting clubcard vouchers.

Did you try to use Clubcard Vouchers and get refused? I rang yesterday and was told they were accepting them for a couple more weeks or so. For me I would be making a long journey just to use up my vouchers - I don't want to waste petrol and time only to have them refused.
  • YES YOU CAN USE THEM AT ASDA. At some stores anyway. One of my local two stores has a big banner saying so!

Can I ask which two stores are your local ones please.
Does anyone know of any Asdas in the Greater Manchester/Stockport area that have banners up or are known to accept CC vouchers?

Nope, I just went down and had a look for banners and signs and saw none. I went to CS and asked the questions and the young (ish) CS person wasn't aware of being able to use clubcard vouchers so I left it at that.

I have used my tesco vouchers in Asda Govan and Asda Cumbernauld this week. I phoned to check first and then explained to the cashier that I had phoned. They had to get a supervisor to override the till but they were fine about it.

I now have a lovely set of bedding, two quilts and pillows which I need as my new free bed from Mfi is a kingsize and my old bed was only a double.

I already posted this in the Sainsburys thread and then found this one.
  • Anyone know if any Asda in Bristol or South Wales are taking these vouchers please? Would love to get more out of my £80
