Can I only balance transfer from other credit cards? I've just got a new CC through and they do 17 months interest free on balance transfers and I have an account with Very.co.uk, would it be possible to balance transfer this to the credit card?

Usually it is only for credit cards.0

You need a 16-digit card number recognised as a VISA or MC number, to do a balance transfer. Catalogue accounts and store cards generally won't have such a number. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Thought as much! I get 3 months interest free on purchases so I've just paid the balance off the Very account and closed it down.
The combination of 3 months interest free and an interest rate which is half of very.co.uk will mean I can still clear the balance in less than 12 months compared to 18!0 -
You could always do your normal shopping on a credit card
Transfer that balance on to your new card
Use the money you would have spent to pay off your very account.0
