Payday Loan (£50)

Talk to the utility companies, explain the position, and that you'd appreciate any help they can give (for instance they may be able to arrange for you to pay on a meter, or allow you to trickle back your arrears, or pay a fixed amount monthly to even your bills out across the year).
If you did get a PDL, you'd be in a worse position next month, really a bad plan. You would also find the utilities are a lot more reasonable and understanding about recovering money.
Also, do yurself a big favour and check your leccy bill! Often they will ESTIMATE your usage, bill accordingly, and the reality can be a lot lower. You may even find you're in credit with the leccy and gas people - so do your own meter readings and see how they compare!0 -
I know this doesn't answer your previous posting but I put away any tiny bit of money I have into a money box, and when I am really desperate I raid that. Even a pound here and there helps, and it might turn out to be enough to tide you over.
When are we going to see payday loans outlawed? They just amaze me.0 -
Thank you everyone for the feedback - i'm going to give it a miss.opinions4u wrote: »Unbelievable!
A sensible outcome!!!!
Hi. Could anyone help me? I was looking for the' Loans' board, but I seem to have stumbled into the 'Sensible Money Management' board.
Could someone show me the way out please?
(PS. Good work, OP.)0 -

No no no this is all wrong.....OP, you're supposed to say the following.
- You don't know my life so please don't comment unless you say what I want to hear.
- I'm a little short at the moment as some unexpected bills have arrived (night out, new telephone etc etc)
- I can easily pay back next month (though you have no intention of doing so)
- I need this money or me and my mentally deranged sister will be thrown out of the local asylum.
- I have no fish heads to eat.
- Blah blah blah (sticks fingers in ears)

Update - Sold some clothing today and made £15!! Hehe. I'm so pleased with myself. Using £5 of it to do a carboot on Sunday. Fingers crossed to earn some more pennies selling the things that I don't need

Thank you for the support everyone.
Elvisia, thank you for the tip! I do have a pot with 1p's, 2p's, 10p's, 20p's but with so many family I use that as the 'birthday fund' to get cards and pressies for the little ones.0 -

Keep up the good work, wish you all the best for the car boot in the morning (although if you are awake reading this, get your butt to bed!).Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman

When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.
