Hi all
I currently use a wireless network adaptor to pick up Internet on pc but was wondering what peoples experiences are with Powerline adapters?
The reason I ask is i am going to need more than one connection - Xbox, PS3, Sky HD etc?! Would you recommend them?
Thanks

I switched from wifi to powerline for my xbox and have been really impressed. Plugged a little switch in behind the telly, so have the foxsat, bluray and xbox all connected into a single powerline adapter. Very reliable, seem fast enough...would recommend them for sure.0

I'm using a powerline one now, and have been for a good 2 years now-got the cheapest 100 meg one off ebuyer. They are fantastic!
They have locked out twice in two years, but unplugging fixed this both times. much faster than wifi, no signal, or rogue wifi frequency problems any more.
The cable gets in the way, but still better than wifi.0 -

yes, they look similar. they transmit 100mbps and receive at 100mbps = making it 200mbps. The nic card is 100mbps, but duplex - so are actually the same thing.
one more thing, some people I believe had trouble with ones with the built in mains socket. Mine has a socket built in and the socket is very useful0 -

Hi all
Thanks for your advice yesterday, I purchased the item above and it appears to work brilliantly. Just one more question, can I buy single units of these and pair them (so three in a loop) or do I need to buy them in doubles?
Thanks0 -
No, you can add individual Homeplugs, you just need a minimum of two.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
