just wonder on how to appeal on a council PCN ?
Was in town with my family, as we leave the car we put a parking permit there on the dashboard, when we got back, instead of pick up the blue badge and drove off , we picked up a PCN from council.
Just wonder is there a template in the forum that helps with writing PCN appeal?
many thx

When you say parking permit, do you mean the blue badge?
Often a PCN will be issued if the B.B. is "incorrectly" displayed. If that is the case, and if the PCN is the first one to be issued for that reason, they will usually cancel it.
However, what is said to be the reason for the issue of the PCN?
Sometimes there are places where the badge does NOT entitle you to park- where there is prohibition on loading, for example.
So- what is the "Contravention Code" stated on the PCN?0 -

I believe it says 87 , it is fading after folding it a few times, anyway under the number it says:
Parked in a designated disabled persons parking place without displaying a valid disabled person badge in the prescribed manner"
We did put it out, somehow the blue badge and timer slipped off the dashboard. Also The car we use is not register to it, the blue badge is registered to my mum's car n she was with us at the time.
Would that be a problem?0 -

Blue Badges are for the disabled person they can use it on any car. Appeal stating the badge slipped, they sometimes allow you one mistake!0 -
My OH got a council PCN when she had parked and her mums blue badge had slipped down the dashboard. We wrote to the council, enclosed the details of the blue badge and they waived it. They should be able to do the same for the OP. Just write a nice polite letter setting out the facts."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Yes, that usually does happen in my experience. They allow you one mistake. Write, sending a photocopy and details of the badge and explaining what the problem was. The Council should cancel the PCN but in the event they don't, take it to appeal.0
