    generally the glow plug lamp flashes when the engine management system records a fault, associated with injection system, or sensors, only a fault code reader will pinpoint the fault and most garages need to have these. the galaxy is the same as a seat alhambra & vw sharan so no need to got to a ford dealer

    are glow plugs part of the njector system...my car has been on the diagnostic but no fault showed up ...but i'm having similar probs

    Glow plugs are used to heat the combustion chambers in cold conditions to help ignition at coldstart (when your engine is cold).

    Petrol cars use spark plugs and diesel cars use glow plugs.

  • i have a merc sprinter van and the glow plug light stays on for a while after starting but the garage that maintains it says its just a faulty plug and its nothing to worry about and it will be sorted at the next service, coould be different for fords though:confused:
