First payment for cb and tc are they together?

Hi I have recently found out that me and my husband are entitled to tax credits and child benefit, i have completed the form and sent it back, I was just wondering if the payment goes in as two seperate transactions or will show on the bank statement as two transactions, are they two seperate departments?
Also I understand it might be back dated 3 months, again will this show up as one lump sum or two?
Many thanks for your help!

    Hi there

Sorry I am no expert in this category.

Why is it only now your making a claim for Child Benefit? if you don't mind me asking.
CB is generally a normal entitlement for children until the either leave school or college.

You will get some good advice on here.;)

Hi no I dont mind you asking, I might be using the wrong words, i have always recived the 134 per month for the two of them but me and my husbands cirrcumstances have changes, we both work but he earns a lot less than he used to and i work part time, only ten hours per week so i done a'check up' and found out we are entitled to working tax and i thought it was 'child benefit' but it must have a different name!, but it was some sort of child allowence!many thansk

Arh right, maybe its Working Tax Credits and Child Tax credits then? ;)

When we received both, it was separately.

Child Tax was paid weekly and when we did have working tax that was every 4 weeks, but that was because my hubby's pay was then every 4 weeks. x

Oh and backpayments, they normally pay in the same week, so day for example Monday the backpayment, then the usual weekly award of Child tax the following day.

They are paid together now. A few years ago the working tax was paid via your employer with your wages and the child tax paid into the bank. They are both paid directly into your bank now in one payment.
