Can I find out if a PPI Company has did a Credit Check on me?

Hi,
On another thread I had asked about an issue we have with a claims company we asked to help us with some credit/loans we had which was fine.
Not being too great with all these kind of things we did leave out one or two companies who we were a little worried about if it had repurcussions on our finances (not to be the case it seemed).
One of them was a Lloyds TSB credit card we had, I was sure that we had decided not to do anything with them and just go for some other possible PPI's that we had reservations about.
However in recent weeks or so we've had various communication with Lloyds and also the claims company.
I asked them for some details which they only supplied a copy of the account number, also our mortgage details which was totally bizarre as we defo never asked them about that.
I have asked them to provide me copies of authorisation from ourselves to carry out these claims on our behalf, which we are awaiting.
However what I was wondering was can I check with someone, such as Experian or the likes and check if this claims company have asked for a credit report for us. Can they do this? I guess this would prove on way or another if we had requested initialy any moves against Lloyds.
TIA

Hi there
I think with Lloyds, if you ask them for details of accounts, they may send all details of accounts held with them, they did in my case, but yes you could request a full credit report which will cost £2, google in Credit reports and go for the best options, can't remember if it was Equifax of Experian may hold details of all accounts for 10 years, where mainly it is only for 6.
Worth checking out.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Claims companies, as far as i am aware do not do a credit check, i could be wrong, get a copy of your credit report and see if they do this.0

Thanks for that.
I've done a one-off version for £2, so see what it comes back with, will always be useful as well.
