Pinnacle insurance plc - confused!

I have recently requested my policy document from Pinacle Insurance PLC, which they have sent over no problem. I may be being totally stupid but is this policy PPI? The document refers to Northern Rock which holds our mortgage and secured loans and covers me for a monthly benefit against Accident, Hospitalisation, Life, Sickness, Unemployment, Carers Cover.
is so what do i do next as the monthly benefit will not even cover 20% of the monthly mortgage and loan payments - so surely is unsuitable for my purposes - and i dont even remember talking about it.
I have done a quick search on the site and cant seem to find any info on the above company
any help or advice on what to do next
thanks

Hi there
Yes if is the same as PPI.
However, if you want to make a reclaiming complaint, you pursue to the ones who sold and set up the policy.
So in your case, if it were NR that sold you the policy you refer to them.
If it was a claim you needed to make, for unemployment/sickness etc, then you would then make the claim to Pinnacle.
I assume you want to make a reclaim and not a claim, so you would have to write to NR.
All you do is complete a reclaim questionnaire, these were issued by the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) for customers to use to complete and send to the business who sold you the policy, keep a copy in case you need to complain to the FOS later on, such as if the business/bank does not uphold in your favour by the final decision.
Hope this helps, good luck.
