How to post a link as a word and not a long link?

I have searched and can't find anything to answer my query. I've probably just looked in wrong place
When I want to post a link, how do I post it as a word rather than a long link? i.e "Go HERE for a great deal" and the word HERE is the link you click on.
Thanks.

When you hit the link button to enter your link as normal
When it puts the link HTML code into yor post ot looks like this :
(URL="http://www.yourlink.com")http://www.yourlink.com(/URL)
(I have used round not square brackets in the above to stop the code being translated into HTML)
Simply replace the second "http://www.yourlink.com" (before the ) with your textThat's Numberwang!0 -

Am I the only dopey one who can't get the hang of this and to whom it also seems harder than just pasting the link? Would like to do it though cos it looks cleverWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

needmoney, yes it requires a bit more effort than just pasting the link.
See post no. 3 above, or use the manual method:
1. Type: The clickable part goes here
without the space between .
2. Paste the link between the = and ], for example:
This thread
again, without the space.
