ford focus power steering pump

Options
Ive got a 2003 1.4cl petrol ford focus and i was going to change the oil today, whilst under the car i spotted a leak. If you are stood in front of the car looking at the alternator the next pulley underneath that is where the leak is.
The pulley is attached to i think the power steering pump. Ive traced a hose from it which goes to the steering fluid.
Does anyone know of any problems with these pumps and is it easy to change or how much would a garage charge (middlesbrough area).
I still have to check the hoses for leaks so hopefully its just one of them. The leak is kind of clear and the fluid is just under half way. which i think has been like this for ages but not sure.
Many thanks.

Are there any solid pipes? Typically these can corrode giving a bit of loss. The leak is fairly unlikely to come from the pump itself, they tend to go out with a bang.

Easy change though messy if you're doing it yourself
