Posties been, and gone, and still no boxes. :( They sometimes come with the van, but that usually comes first thing.
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!

With SSB, I think there is not 'good box' and 'bad box' - just different boxes that suit people differently. I'm relatively pleased with mine...

Miners Bronzer and Blush Blend (full size): Not really into bronzers, so will give away.

The Vintage Cosmetics Company Eyelash Curler: Looks good but I already have eyelash curlers, so will give away too.

Murad Time Release Anti-aging Acne cleanser (travel size). Am not acne prone, but have my off days so look forward to trying this 2-in-1 product out.

Stylefile S-file: Needed a new file for a while, so look forward to trying this one out :-) Is exactly the kind of thing I like to have in my box - something useful that I would never normally buy myself.

Freeze 24.7 Ice crystals anti aging prep & polish (sachet). Also look forward to trying this out.

Debenhams Beauty Club Card: Indifferent as I rarely shop at Debenhams. Apparently you usually only get this with a purchase, so a nice bonus.

VERDICT - Not all products suit me, but a nice varied box with items I wouldn't usually try out and I look forward to giving them a whirl. Miners product looks a bit cheap.

Am pretty disappointed with the Glossybox men's box though. RRP value of products was under £10, even though the box costs more, no deluxe sized items let alone full size. I posted on their Facebook page and this was their response. "
thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with your latest GLOSSYBOX for Men. Please feel free to get in touch with our customer care team (contact@glossybox.co.uk) for further assistance. It is important to communicate, however, that GLOSSYBOX is a sampling service, allowing our subscribers to trial products in their home in order to help them decide whether to buy full-sized versions of a product. The sizes of the featured samples will vary. Thank you."

This is a totally lame response. I have already stated to them that they should make it clear that the Glossybox for Men boxes do not reflect the service that they offer the women - that they charge men a huge premium for collecting tiny samples that men can get at beauty counters for free. Does anyone know how Glossybox works? Do they pay for the products at all, or do they even get paid by supplier to sponsor or be featured in a box?

My Joliebox arrived yesterday - it was ok, but after all the spoilers I'd seen and the long wait it just feels a bit of a let down. The shame of it is, all of these companies seem to understand beauty, but not many of them seem to understand the dull stuff that makes up a business (customer service, logistics etc)

I agree that they seem to have no understanding of how to run a business - which, sadly, could prove to be the downfall of most of them. I'm not sure that there is room in the market for all of them anyway (with the exception of specialist, niche boxes), so late postage just makes it easier for customers to decide which one to cancel.

I got my SSB today - it's a lot better than I expected. Spoilers in white

I got the Miners bronzer - I would have much preferred the black eyeliner that some people got. Is it such a damned sin these days to be pale? I don't want a tan, real or fake. I don't want a "golden glow" because I will look stupid. HOWEVER this one does have a pink swirl so I'll give it a go and see if I can pull it off.

Eyelash curlers - I can never have enough of these; I'm always looking for the "perfect" curl. I recently bought some Shu Uemura's from a Buyapowa deal but I'm not convinced they're worth the hype so I'm looking forward to trying these ones.

S-file nail file. Now, I adored Tom on The Apprentice and I really wanted him to win so I'm happy to try his invention. However, the rrp of £4.49 is a little misleading as these aren't selling well at all and you can get them for £2.99 from a few places. Here's hoping the beauty boxes do their job and get people buying his other nail files too, bless his little heart.

Murad Time Release Blemish cleanser - apparently I can now fight spots AND wrinkles at the same time. Except that I can't because it's full of chemicals so will go on ebay with all the other Murad items from beauty boxes. Is Murad the new false lashes of the beauty box world?

teeny tiny sample of Freeze something-or-other.

AND...............wait for it.............a Debenhams beauty card.

Pretty pleased to get the two gadgets and the box is worth it because I paid Jubilee price but I wouldn't be happy with it at full price. No siree.

I've just received the Jolie mail re: post service mislabeling boxes, so I assume is why mine is very late. I'm still avoiding reading spoilers. :p

Missli - same here, email just arrived.

Marnova - unfortunately you are not the first person to complain about the men's GlossyBox. We've already had reports of Lilliputian toothpastes :rotfl: If I were you, I'd cancel quick sharp ;)

most people seem to have got both gadgets,re the card that came with it waste of time as anyone can get this by asking instore(debenhams) for those who want to know, dont think my box was great value:(

I only got one of the two and would have loved both and not the ACNE CREAM!!!!!!

I just got both my boxes, both the same! Though now I've read the spoilers I'm happier with the variant I got. I'll be sticking all the contents of box 1 on ebay or trying to join that swap site!

The Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser. Was given two of these by a friend for my teenage son, now I have four! He'd better start using it!

    Miners Phatliner in black.

    S-File. From that Apprentice guy!

Layla D Natural Beauty Honey day moisturiser. My favourite item.

    Icecrystals sample sachet

Eden Natural Nail Polish Remover vial.

There's nothing that I won't use, though I really didn't need to double up. Even though both were discounted it feels pretty wasteful and greedy.

Rosemary - I wonder if they just missed your box by accident? I would email them because I'm sure you're meant to have both items. (The acne face wash might even be worth a try as it's also anti-ageing :))

I wasn't that wowed by SSB but I think it might be a grower :rotfl:It's a shame that I had just bought a heated eyelash curler but that isn't their fault! I would normally run a mile from any bronzer but this looks light and pinkish enough for me to try it. I never use a nail file, so that is a bit of a loss to me (I will try it). I've had the face wash before and it's quite nice (not as nice as the Vit C version that came in a box ages ago).

Still no JB here! It's a shame they won't be personalised now :o

I agree, have a mini-rant on their FB wall too if you feel like it! ;) I'm pretty certain that you are supposed to have the two gadgets and the box variations come from the make-up and mini-samples

    Possible spoilers here! Sorry! :o
What I do instead of having a stylefile (this IS MSE, after all :D) is I use a cheap emery board and bend it in my hand while I'm filing. The sort that are on cardboard, not that squidgy stuff - usually 10 for £1.

No LuxBox. Cancelled it after this month too as I can't really afford to keep any on while I'm not working over summer. Want it to arrive soon though! :(
