On another note, what does everyone do with the bits they wont use, I had a look at the BB FB page but doesnt seem to be much swapping going on, is Ebaying a job lot of bits the best option considering postage and fees extra? Wouldnt mind a MSE swap going on!!
 xx
I think an MSE swap thing would be good if we can sort out a way of organising it. I don't really bother with ebay because with fees and postage etc, there's not alot of money to be made. What I've been doing is making up boxes to give as presents with the things I won't use, to those I think would suit the products more 0 0

I like the making up of boxes idea but most of my friends wouldnt really be interested in eyeliner and things as like me there's mostly stay at home mummies with no time etc. But maybe we should once a month each make a list of things we have and dont need and them whoever's interested could pm to arrange a swap or a buy.
Or we could do a lucky dip kind of thing and like your idea, make up a box of things, worth X amount and then do a swap type of thing, and people could try and specify if there were interested in makeup, skincare, etc etc.
I dont really know but I'd just much rather things went to a good home then were sat in a cupboard somewhere! xxNo buying un-necessary toiletries challenge - Start total: 235. Current total: 273!!0

            Hi everyone
I spotted this thread earlier in the week and am hoping to sign up but not sure which box is best to go for. Anyone have any recommendations for a beauty box virgin?

Very disappointed with the Glossybox this month. My second box and after getting the first one two weeks late and being underwhelmed not because it was a bad box as such but because I'd saw lots of other products that were much better in other peoples boxes. They needed to wow me....instead they sent me lashes
My biggest hate is receiving lashes!! And they are more drag queen than foxy lady so they will never be used.
Other items were shower gel; 2x perfume samples; face mask and Osmo hair treatment.
I'm cross that the value of my products came to about £16 in total while other boxes had the HD Brow Beater which alone was worth about this.
I must be on the Glossybox naughty list - well no more!! I have just unsubscribed.
Rainbowfairy - I think Shesaidbeauty is pretty good and if you look back a page or two there was a Wowcher 3 month offer which I've went for - I went through TCB as well so it worked out as about £8 a box inc p+p. I think this ends today though.0

Hello, they are lovely to subscribe to. I've been more or less happy with every box I have has so far. Mine seem to vary a lot with contents, although have 4 subscriptions currently (Amarya, Amitee, GlossyBox, and LuxBox). I'm finding it hard to get rid of any of mine, as a worth it treat.
Perhaps follow the links on the first page of this thread to decide what might be useful for you. A good way to start a subscription is look out for discount codes. If you follow this page back there were some good deals recently.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone! 0 0

            Hi.
I have been lurking for a few days now, and thought I would post and say'Hi'. Still waiting for my very first box to arrive; GB so any day now.
Also I was looking around the internet and I spotted Beautylishious - thislooks like a beauty bag and not beauty box, but same concept.
Not sure if anyone has come across or had one of these? It looks fairly new. - beautylishious co uk
 I wish I hadn't looked. Full link here: http://beautylishious.co.uk/#
Lovely products, although more sample sizes than most other boxes I've seen, so less value, but worth looking at.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone! 0 0

I subscribe to Amarya and Joliebox. I've been with Joliebox from the beginning, and while they've had pretty awful problems in the past with deliveries and delays, they seem to have settled down now. To be fair, I've never had a problem with them, they've responded to emails the same day, and once, within half an hour of me emailing them. I had one non-delivery and a replacement was sent out the same day of me contacting them.
With Joliebox, everybody gets the same things, except for a variation in colour sometimes, with makeup/nail polish, or like this month with the Talika products you got one or other, but the values will be similar. There's never been the dreaded nailwraps or lashes in a JB (watch them turn up next month!) either.
I've subscribed to GB in the past and have had rubbish boxes and the good ones. The last one I got was the one with the Becca beach tint (it wasn't that great a product, tbh) and I cancelled because I just don't agree that people should get such wildly differing boxes, in terms of value and content. Their ambassadors never seem to get the rubbish ones - and when they're rubbish, they really are!
I love Amarya and wish I'd subscribed earlier. Again, everyone gets the same, except for variation in colour and again, they're great value for money - one or two full sized products and a couple of sample sizes, ie sachets or small tubes.
I wouldn't subscribe to more than these, unless the others were particularly outstanding, as then I'd be getting into the territory of why am I not spending this amount of money or something I'd really like, rather than taking pot luck.
By the way, if anyone got the eye patches in the Joliebox this month and hasn't used them, they are amazing! I'm seriously contemplating buying these.0

Thanks for the replies. Have chosen a she said box ( £4.50 cash back & the 25% off code too ) so the box only cost around £5 which is a bargain so because of this i decided to also try the Jolie Box as well.. Cant wait to receive my boxes :j
